Schedule Of Events

Wednesday,

RV Camp Site with elec. and water service opens at noon. Under-the-wing camping also open. A permanent shower facility with both male and female facilities is located within the camping area. Plenty of hot water. Come early and relax under the pines.

Friday morning

SERFI Officially Opens. Coffee and Rolls in big red hanger for early arrivals.

Ultra-light area open. The field is partitioned so that ultra-lights can fly continuously- weather permitting.

Educational and informational forums begin.

EAA Membership Booth opens. Renew your EAA membership and win a nice prize.

EAA membership registration booth opens.

Food vendors open for food, snacks and drinks.

Shuttle bus service to Evergreen motels begins.

Aircraft judging begins. Aircraft awards this year will include a best Alternate Power Plant Installation award. To be judged, the experimental installation must have been flown the required 40 hours and the aircraft flown into SERFI. No manufacturer entries please. As a reminder, all aircraft must arrive by 2:00 PM on Saturday to be eligible for judging.

Open cockpit and helicopter rides begin

FAA’s Aviation Safety Program conducted at 7:00 PM. Shuttle bus departs for downtown motels after the program.

Saturday

Shuttle bus starts early morning pickups at motels. The last bus to motels departs the airport after last activity of the day.

Pancake and sausage breakfast in big red hanger. If you haven’t tasted our locally produced Conecuh Sausage, you’ve really missed it.

Food Vendors open for business.

Educational and informational forums active.

EAA membership registration booth open.

Fly-Market opens Saturday only.

Open cockpit and helicopter rides available all day.

2:00 PM - Young Eagles flights begin. Saturday only.

Volunteer aircraft demo flights conducted whenever free time is available.

Catered, sit down, five course dinner and awards ceremony on Saturday evening at 7:PM in big red hanger. After dinner, the tensions and expectations rise as we work through the awards towards the eventual Grand Champion winner. You don’t want to miss this exciting event!

A bond fire in the camping area closes the evening.

Sunday

Shuttle bus begins early pickups at motels.

Aircraft Judging forum in FBO classroom for those interested in the “ins and outs" of aircraft judging. Questions and answers format.

SERFI ‘07 winds down and visitors depart for home.
