The Venture Newport is a classic styled trailerable cutter rig (main sail with two head sails).  The Venture Newport was inspired by the pilot boats of the 1800s.
Key features - Swing keel. Swing rudder. Bowsprit. Full-cabin pop-top. Foredeck hatch. Cockpit hatch. Sleeps 5.
 

The 2000 pound displacement makes trailering easy.  This Cutter-Rig (twin headsails) makes reducing total sail area easy.  The mainsail has one set of reef points.

 


This video shows one man (me) can completely rig the sailboat on the trailer for the water in 21 minutes.
As you can see, I wasn't in a hurry.
The sails and mast can be taken down in about 1/3rd the time.

Why am I selling this Sailboat? 

I'm not really into sailing.  When I bought the Sailboat, I thought I might enjoy it when I finished rebuilding it.  
It's been sitting in my shop for five years now unused.  All photos are new though.

My interests are in aviation.  
I'm currently rebuilding an aircraft called an Aeronca 7AC Champ and I need the room in my shop.

 

This website?  I'm an old retired computer nerd.  I do this kind of thing on the side when I'm not rebuilding sailboats and airplanes.
